We often hear people crib that even they are interested in doing some social activities, they don’t get the time out of their busy schedule. Here is an example of how futile the excuses are. Narendra Singh Negi, a popular Folk singer from Uttrakhand shared a story of a security guard, who does his job in the day time and teaches in the evening.

This man is Brijendra, retired from the army. He is a security guard in Allahabad Bank ATM in Majra, Dehradun. As the day ends, child labours and beggars gather around him. He teaches around 24 kids from the nearby slums. In the light of the ATM itself, he conducts his classes where he also emphasises on the value of discipline. 12990950_10154119249534819_2420806955847669121_n
Brijendra is doing this noble task since last 16 years. He was pretty reluctant to get a picture clicked. His effort is an inspiration to all the teachers involved in literacy mission and primary schools.

The Logical Indian community salutes Mr. Brijendra, unsung heroes like him are the one who keeps our hope of better India alive.
