At 13, Pawan Sharma caught his first snake with a bucket and the hook of a hanger. A Russell’s viper had crawled into his house and gobbled up one of his kittens. While the neighbours were ready to kill the reptile, Sharma requested them to let it go. Not surprisingly, in 2012, he founded the Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW), a team of likeminded individuals working for the welfare of urban wildlife. They aim to educate people about human-animal conflict and create awareness about wildlife, the environment and their conservation. Read the story of this 22 year old Mumbai Hero here.
