A video of an appalling incident is doing the rounds of social media, where a police constable is seen brutally thrashing a rickshaw-puller.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at a busy crossing of Kotwali, in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. The policeman had asked extortion money from the rickshaw-puller. But when the rickshaw-puller refused to pay him the money, the policeman dragged him along the road and thrashed him brutally.

The victim kept on screaming and shouting for help but it didn’t stop the policeman to beat him. People had gathered around to stop him but he couldn’t be stopped. A massive chaos has broken in the police department after the video went viral.

Superintendent of Police Sushil Dhule has ordered a probe into the matter.

The Logical Indian urges immediate action to be taken against the policeman.
