Anyone Who Picks Up Gun And Enters Kashmir Will Be Killed, Says Army

On Tuesday, February 19, Indian Army said that anyone who picks up a gun in the Kashmir Valley will be eliminated. Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon addressed the media and asked all local terrorists’ mothers to urge their sons to surrender, failing to do which will force the Army to act against them.

“Anyone who has picked up gun will be killed”

Addressing the media, Dhillon said that mothers have a great role to play in the Kashmiri society, and requested mothers to ask their sons to drop their guns, surrender and get back to mainstream. Anyone who has picked up gun will be killed and eliminated,” he said.

The Army commander further said that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which is Pakistan’s main spy agency, was involved in the deadly Pulawama terror attack by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), which claimed the lives of 40 CPRF jawans. He asserted, keeping his focus on counter-terrorism attack clear, that they will ensure that anyone who enters Kashmir Valley does not go back alive, reported The Times Of India.

Since the attack, top leadership were being tracked down. ISI and Pakistan and JeM commanders were controlling it from across.

In a prolonged gun battle on February 18 in Pulwama, three terrorists were killed by the Army, including the suspected Pulwama attack mastermind Abdul Rashid Gazi.

According to Dhillon, all its options will be kept open by the Army in order to deal with the car bomb attack that the terrorists executed in Pulwama on February 14.

Dhillon also told reporters, “Brigadier Hardeep Singh, who was on leave due to injury, he cut short his leave voluntarily and came to the operation site and stayed there and lead his men from the front.”

Families were commended by the security forces for being able to persuade their sons to not pick up arms.

“There is a significant dip in recruitment, we have not seen any recruitment in the last three months. The families are playing a huge role in this. We would like to urge the families and the community in curtailing recruitment,” IGP Kashmir SP Pani said.

The Pulwama terror attack has been the deadliest in decades. Terrorism is never an option and neither is an eye for an eye. To live in a better world, violence has to come to an end. Irrespective of which country it is, picking up the gun and killing innocent people is a sign of foolishness and irrationality. Society will only become better when people stop considering violence and revenge as options.
