To promote road safety in India, the Press Information Bureau of India has shared a video that has a positive message for everybody. The video starts with our Prime Minister Narendra Modi getting inside a car and wearing a seat belt.

Sharing the video, the PIB asks its viewers a suiting question: “First thing the Prime Minister does when getting in his car is put his seat belt on…What’s your excuse??” This video has been released in support of the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways’ initiative called “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha.”

According to a study by the World Health Organisation, seat belts can reduce the risk of a fatal car crash by 45% to 60%. The study further says that wearing a seatbelt can reduce the severity of injuries if an accident occurs. It also prevents the occupants from ejecting out of the car, which most often results in death

The Logical Indian appreciates this thoughtful initiative by the Press Information Bureau of India.
