Indian Railways: You Can Now Get The Coaches Cleaned Using Your Mobile Phone

Indian Railway has launched a website and App which will receive complaints from commuters on any issue particularly cleanliness which would be attended in 15 minutes. Indian Railways has always had serious complaints regarding its cleanliness.

Launch of the App and website (cleanmycoach.com) as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan will go a long way changing the long-held notions and perceptions of Indian Railways. After successful testing of the scheme in Central Railways, the transporter plans to extend it to long routes across the country. It will ensure speedy cleaning of coaches or toilets in long-distance trains which have housekeeping facilities on-board. The App once operational is expected to contribute significantly for a clean railway.

Indian Railways on a reformation spree

The innovations, initiatives and make overs of Indian Railways have been happening for over the last few years and now has gathered pace. The launch of the Mobile App comes in the backdrop of many other innovations including

1.) Solar Panels placed on stations and trains.

2.) Water Recycling plants.

3.) Rain water harvesting.

4.) Bio-toilets.

5.) Paperless ticketing among many others.

The Logical Indian commends the railways for its new initiatives. Given the pace of new initiatives in the railways, we are confident Indian Railways will be a largely sought after mode of commutation among Indians.
