#GiveItup LPG Subsidy: How The Movement Is Being Dragged Back Due To Technical Flaws

Success of a any program depends on how well it is strategized, planned and executed. Mistakes that are avoidable if not rectified at early stages of planning, leads to problem that later affect the success of the policy. #Giveitup LPG Subsidy is one of the most ambitious program launched by PM modi, but due to small mistakes by agency managing the website, the success of the program is being hampered. The mistakes were noticed by Peri Maheshwer.

From the timeline of Peri Maheshwer:

“This should make a few heads roll. The most ambitious movement. By none less than the Prime Minister of India. The entire country backing it. A movement. A dream campaign backed by unparalleled WILL and unimaginable resources – of surrendering LPG subsidy. The ad campaign says ‪#‎Giveitup‬.

For the amount of money being spent, I would have blocked every possible sub domain. But they only go for .in. However, it is just the tip of the iceberg. Here is the biggest flaw – The campaign is marketed as #Giveitup and the domain is givitup.in. There is no E in the GIVITUP. The result is there for all of us. One domain has expired(which they could have easily acquired) and the other one has negligible traffic.

A dream fructifies with a strategy, a plan and meticulous execution. I still wish it works out, but this execution still takes away a lot of sheen of the dream. And heads must roll for bad execution.”
