Forest Man Of India, Jadav Payeng, Alleges Fake Website Created In His Name To Dupe Tourists

In a shocking incident, Forest Man of India, Jadav Payeng has alleged that a man, Anil Kumar Gade has created a website on his name without his permission and duped national and foreign tourists for large sums of money. He alleged that Anil had demanded money from foreign tourists for a trip in his forest, “Molai” in Jorhat district of Assam without his permission.

He learnt about the fake website from some Taiwanese nationals who were asked to pay Rs 1.8 lakh for a trip to his forest. His daughter had filed an FIR in Dakshin Majuli police station after which the police detained Anil from Kokilamukh on 11th March.

In a phone conversation with The Logical Indian, Jadav Payeng said, “He demanded money from national and foreign tourist in my name. He demanded Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand from Taiwanese nationals who were students, for a visit to my forest. I learnt this from them, and it is an insult to me. In fact, it is an insult to everyone Indian.”

“I asked him to shut down the website, but he did not listen to me,” added Payeng.

“My daughter filed an FIR in Dakshin Majuli police station in this regard”.

SP of Majuli, Hitesh Ch. Ray told The Logical Indian that, “The preliminary investigation is going on. Only after the completion of the investigation, truth will come out”.

As per the report, Anil was arrested by Jorhat police along with Dakshin Majuli police after the case of the fake website came to light.

Jadav Payeng is a recipient of Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour for his contribution towards environment and protection of flora and fauna. He has single-handedly transferred a sandbar in Majuli island in the Brahmaputra into a dense forest by planting trees which he named after his name, “Molai”. Molai forest houses Bengal tigers, Indian rhinoceros, deers and rabbits besides monkeys and several varieties of birds, including a large number of vultures.
