Cabinet Reshuffle: Smriti Irani Moved Out of The HRD Ministry

In a major reshuffle in the Union Cabinet on Tuesday, Smriti Irani was moved out of the HRD ministry while senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu was given the additional charge of the I&B ministry.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inducted 19 new ministers into his Cabinet on Tuesday, has carried out major changes in the portfolios of his top ministers.

Venkaiah Naidu, who was the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, has been made the I&B minister. Anant Kumar is the new Parliamentary Affairs Minister. D V Sadananda Gowda has been shifted from Law Ministry to Statistics and Programme Implementation.
