The phrase, a child sees the world from their parent’s eyes holds absolute truth for the 12-year-old Nickollas, who along his mother gained worldwide attention. During a football match, the Stadium full fans were blown away with emotions of love and affection to see Nickollas’s mother narrating the match to him. Nickollas, who is blind and autistic along with his mother quickly became a social media celebrity after the pictures of the two went viral and since then, the duo is receiving worldwide attention.

Nickollas’s mother Silvia Grecco was spotted on a big stadium TV screen narrating a game to him in Sao Paulo last year. The footage showed 56-year-old Grecco relaying the players’ every move on the pitch to her son. It also showed the two dressed in their favourite Sao Paulo team Palmeiras t-shirt, cheering every time their favourite team scored a goal.

During a recent game between Palmeiras and Botafogo de Ribeirao Preto, Nickollas’s mother was also narrating the match to him, she while speaking to the media said, “I describe details: this player is wearing short sleeves, the colour of their football boots, hair color”. She further added, “My narrating is something of my emotions. I’m not a professional. Everything I see and feel, I tell him, even when I need to curse the referee!”

Became famous all over the world

Till now, both of them have been featured on various Brazilian TV programs, and have even visited a Palmeiras training session. Grecco is a single mother and an ardent Palmeiras fan said that she got her son to support her favourite team, by involving his big idol, Brazilian international football player Neymar.

She also said that his son recently also got a chance to meet Neymar, who lifted Nickollas on his shoulders. “It was a big moment,” she said.

In another event, a local businessman hosted the duo and some of Nickollas’s friends for the season-opening match in a stadium box at the Allianz Park in Sao Paulo. Nickollas wearing a huge smile and the national football jersey threw his arms in a trusting hug around every stranger and as soon as the match started his mother began narrating the match.
