BJP Youth Leader Booked For Sexual Harassment, Day After Demanding Justice For Hyderabad Vet

A Bharatiya Janata Party youth leader in Telangana was booked for sexually harassing a woman on December 1, a day after he protested against the heinous Hyderabad rape case.

The identified leader – Ashish Goud, son of former MLA Nadeshwar Goud, ironically demanded justice for the Hyderabad vet during a protest march on November 30.

Goud was booked after a TV artiste accused him of misbehaving with her. The artiste said that Ashish Goud harassed her at the pub in Hotel Madhapur in Hyderabad.

According to the cops, the artiste said that she along with her friends were misbehaved with, by Goud and his friends. She claimed that Goud inappropriately touched them and used vulgar language.

The complaint was filed at Madhapur police station. She alleged that Goud dropped glass bottles on the floor and threatened her that he would hit her and his friends. “A bouncer – Azaar – was also standing next to the incident and was supporting Ashish Goud and his friends when they shouted at us to leave the place,” added the complainant.

Goud rebuffed the allegation and labelled it as “blackmail politics”. He said that the complainant should back their allegation with fact and blamed the opposition for orchestrating the incident. He further said that he was not afraid of “false cases.”

Goud has been booked under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

Goud has been sacked from the BJP Youth Morcha with immediate effect.
