The Azadpur- Prembari flyover – A feat to remember!

A six-lane flyover in Delhi is nothing less than a miracle in our country where every government project has a recorded history of delays and crossing the set budget limit.

AAP government inaugurated this flyover near Delhi’s biggest wholesale vegetable market at Azadpur. It was finished in record time and at approximately Rs. 100 Crores less than the set budget.

The 1.6 km road will relieve heavy traffic in areas like Ashok Vihar, Shalimar Bagh and Wazirpur which will result in uncongested vehicular flow along the 44 km ring road.

The chief minister in his praise for Ex. CM Sheila Dikshit credited her for initiating the project which was 20-30 percent finished when AAP took over. The Azadpur-Prembari pul will not only save time but also money spent on fuel. This effort will certainly make the life of a common man much easier.

Mr. Kejriwal admired the PWD, Central government and its Urban Development department for all its support. A special team closely monitored the project and used the ‘pre-cast’ cement technology which saved time and money. This shows how good governance and blend of technology with the rightful use of tax-payers money can result in feats and compel others to reach the level of excellence.
