Natasha Srivastava - I am the communications professional who is working with Dr Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital, Daryaganj, New Delhi. My pitch for the spokespersons of the hospital below: Dear Palak Ma'am, Natasha here reaching out for my client Dr. Shroff Charity Eye Hospital. I am writing to explore a potential relationship building meeting with the senior doctors at the hospital. Established in 1914, Dr. Shroff Charity Eye Hospital is one of the oldest eye and ENT care institutes in the country. Its mission is to prevent avoidable blindness and deafness by providing quality care to all sections of the society. It does this by training and capacitating healthcare workers across the country, providing free comprehensive eye care services to rural and semi-urban communities, ensuring in-depth research into the latest therapies and care models, and ensuring un-interrupted service delivery. They now have the 3rd largest network of vision centers in India, all of which are managed by young women who have just entered the workforce (and trained by the hospital). A not for profit, it has a mandate to do 50% of its surgical work at no or highly subsidized cost to the patients. Annually, it sees around 50 lakh patients and performs over 40,000 sight and hearing restoring surgeries. It has a unique healthcare model – a hospital which has leading doctors and surgeons from across the world working with it, but functions as a non-for-profit working with vulnerable and marginalized communities in and across India. Highlights: • 2,00,000+ people screened for cataract (every year) • 15,000 free cataract surgeries performed (every year) • 1,00,000+ children screened for pediatric blindness (every year) • 8000+ free sight restoring surgeries for children have been performed (every year) • 9,2257 commercial truck drivers screened for uncorrected refractive errors (this year) • 1,64,345 OPDS held for commercial truck drivers across India (this year) • 30,00,000 people/3000 villages screened through door-to-door checking (this year) Please let me know if you would be interested in connecting with the senior doctors and if you would like to visit the premises and interact with the patients and doctors to understand the work being done by the hospital in the name of public service.
