My Story: We Need More Police Like Him Who Really Make Us Feel Safe & Do Their Duty Promptly

“Would like to thank Mr. Sri Ramulu traffic police for helping me without my request. Last evening, at around 7. 15 pm, I was waiting to catch an auto from Brigade road circle to 100 feet road in Bangalore. I almost asked around 10 auto wallahs who either asked Rs120 or just refused (as usual). Sri Ramulu was watching this from the other end of the road, immediately, after traffic lights went red, he walked towards me and enquired if I was waiting for auto and auto standing nearby refused to commute. He booked all the three autos standing nearby who had refused me earlier and got me another auto and instructed the auto driver to take me safely and not to charge a rupee extra. I felt so safe and proud of Bangalore police. Thanked him for helping me without asking and with his permission, took his photograph.

The practice of refusing and demanding twice the money by auto drivers has increased suddenly from past few months.

We need more police like him who really make us feel safe and do their duty promptly. I really felt wow for the first time about police.

Once again, Thank you, Mr. Sri Ramulu!

I Request higher officers to identify such people and appreciate.”
