My Story: “I Loaned Him Some Money & Few days Later He Had Opened His Own Food Stall”

Supported by

A few months back I saw a poor, disabled man who lost his leg in an accident.

Since the time of his misfortune, he had also lost his job and I found him nearly starving.

While speaking with him I asked what skills he had and he answered that he knows how to cook our traditional food.

In my attempt to offer help I loaned him about $50, although I had no intention to see the money returned.

I also found that he was very passionate and was not one to let his disability stop him, in fact it seems as if “disability” is not even a word in his vocabulary.

After few days I saw that he has opened his own stall and was selling Shami kabab, a subcontinental dish.

When he noticed me he was very thankful to me and the feeling I had, was a level of inner satisfaction & peace.

I’m not showing off here my act of kindness, but if we can all help just ONE person, our world would be changed for the better, even with something that was as simple as $50.
