My experience occurred at a regular railway station today. One morning I was waiting for my train at Ghatkopar station, it was around 9am.
Something I saw, which was an eye opener for me. Train was few minutes late, to my surprise I saw a lady, she may be in her forties came with her garbage bag (she was one of the cleaning staff of railway who clean tracks) and before she picked her first piece of garbage (which people throw shamelessly on the track and everywhere around the railway station) she touched the tracks and prayed to it.
No kidding. It was the kind of prayer one would say at the temple and after that she waited for the trains to pass and started collecting garbage.
Fascinated by what I saw, I missed my train but that is not important. The point I am trying to make here is she respects her job that provides bread and shelter for her family, irrespective of what she does and what people think of her job.
At the same time we get irritated at our workplace by our work or the people and never think of what it provides us, never do we respect what we have.
I am not trying to teach or preach but just sharing what I saw and how I felt.
