My Story: While His Friend Left To Celebrate Diwali, He Was Taking Care Of His Friend's Shop And The Mazaar

“I am an entrepreneur here in Delhi and just before Diwali we have planned to go to our home by Car. While driving in the night it becomes necessity to take tea or something that makes you awake. We were heading to Lucknow by Muradabad road and after Muradabad we have seen a small shop just by side the highway. We stopped the car and ordered 4 cup of teas to the Chaha who is taking care of the shop.

He made a fabulous tea. I thought of thanking him for great tea. When I said thanks to him, He smiled and said “beta ye meri dukan nhi hai , mai to bagal wali Mazaar ki dekhbhal krne ke liye yha rhata hu”. The owner of this shop of gone his home for Diwali celebration, so I am taking care of this shop for next three days. He was worried if his shop will remain close for three days, he’ll lost his regular customers.

This put me into deep thinking process. There are lots of politicians, they are breaking the society into pieces because of religion, and here one Hindu is able to celebrate Diwali because of a Muslim who is taking care of a Majar and the shop too.

This is the real India where we live into. I was feeling so proud to be an Indian and to meet an Indian like him. This is an amazing example to the society which is being divided by these kind of thought of Hinduism and Muslim-ism.”
