#MyStory: The PK controversy

Supported by

❝On my 22nd birthday, couple of weeks ago, I went to watch PK with my friends, enjoyed the movie and must say it was a good part of the day. Few days later, i read in newspaper and watched on TVs the increasing protest of PK by different religion representatives like Bajrang dal and Vishwa hindu parishad.. And it was like a 2nd movie out of movie, or say a movie parody! I mean the same thing we saw there, how these so called representatives of religion fool people!
I wonder What is there in the movie protest???

Is it because movie taught us to give that milk to a starving child on street instead of Shivlinga or because it taught us to give that Chadar to a shivering body instead of Dargaha?
Is it because movie exposed the reality of dhongi babas or because it rebuilt our faith in humanity above religion?

Is it for it taught us that our worship’s purpose is not merely to get our problems solved (God has given us a brain on top for that) or for it taught we’re not born with any religion, we’re not born with a thappa.. It is our society which gave us that. We were born as humans! So before you take a step on the name of religion, move forward to take a step for Humanity!

And my appeal on this platform from all those heads or incharges of Dharma, god hasn’t appointed you as a head of religion. Please don’t be oversmart! We all know none of ur sentiments has been hurt! Are you doing it for “Limelight.” Without these actions, u would have got extincted! The only time we get to hear these group’s name is for “Protesting” something! Infact they’re not Hindu representatives but more of Moral police! If they were only to decide the ban of movies, what the hell CBFC (Central board of Film certification) is sitting for?

I am a Hindu Brahmin girl, from your own community! And yes dear incharges, i never read in any shiva purana or ramayan, where it has been mentioned that going to theaters, vandalising there, kicking and pushing out people, innocent families is a spread of religion! Burning posters on circles and causing traffic jam! No I’m sorry, I didn’t know this is how we give respect to our God!

Friends, PK has just shown us a mirror! The inside reality of religion how these people are doing “Dar ka business.” It’s not hurting any sentiments. And come on, we can’t be so sensitive that we curtain the reality and keep sitting in a corner as sensitive people n keep on getting Victim of these thags! And you, my dear Hindu outfits, please don’t spread Violence and defame Hiduism! We’re not such people as you’re showing the world and save these guts and anger for when next time an Asharam rapes a girl or a Rampal does a Murder!
Good work Hirani.. We’re looking forward for more eye opening movies!❞
