Kudos To All The Working Women In Our Society

Ever since I came to Bangalore I was in search of my new cook, it is really hard to find a cook who satisfies a north Indian’s taste buds, however I managed to get one exactly the way I imagined, she prepares delicious dishes very quickly while always carrying a sweet smile on her face.

While talking to her I came to know that she is a single parent having two children, younger one very good in academics and appearing for board this year and her elder son got a job offer with an IT firm recently.

They also have a small shop where her son use to sit while I am a regular visitor at their shop already impressed with the little boy (her son) for his courtesy, politeness and mannerism towards customers.

She has been a single mother since last 18 years and while telling her background and briefing me about how she raised her kids, she had a very beautiful smile on her face and pride in her eyes which probably broke me down in tears.

Kudos to all the working women in our society. She may be a bus conductor, a sweeper in your office or your maid or a shopkeeper. Every day we meet them but forget to pass a smile.

This post is just to remind us that little gestures can make anyone happy. So let’s spread the kindness and warmth for everyone around us. Millions of salute to people like her.
