My Story: This Raises A Question – Whom To Believe And Whom To Not?

It’s a dark cold winter night on 31 December. I was traveling in my bike around 7 pm. When everyone is busy getting ready for the New Year.He was a thin man week, dirty and bare foot walking by the road side. I went past him and stopped him thinking what’s his story.

This man is B. Lakshmi Narayana from Tadipatri Andhra Pradesh. He has been cheated by his own people and relatives. They took his house and property. All he got now is 2 acres of land, which is about to go out of his hands. Own people doing this for money.

He was forced to leave his home town in search of some work and money. He ended up waking from his hometown to Hyderabad which is 300+ kms barefoot. By the time he reached he became week, thin, dirty and helpless. He asked help but ignored by hundreds of people and only a hand full help him with few bucks, no one gave any work.

The city police don’t allow him to sleep or stay in the city. He walked again to the out skirts of the city. He found no hope in the city and now he wanted to go back to his hometown again.

I asked him to get on my bike and took him to my place offered him two pairs of cloths, a pair of shoe and some money. He was so happy that I help him, I asked him to stay around for a day or two so that I can help him with some money but he wasn’t ready for it.

One thing which moved me was he wasn’t ready to give up on this way back; he wanted to walk back and fight for his life. I just couldn’t stop him; all I said was take care and be safe.

The sad thing is where is the humanity?
