My Story: This Humble And Honest Stranger Got My Necklace Back That Was Given By My Husband On Our Wedding

“We read and hear news every now and then about fraudulent businesses cheating people, countries bombing each other for greed and all the sad stories around the globe that make us wonder if human beings have lost their self-control. But then something happens that restores your faith in humanity. I got my first-hand experience when I received a random act of favour from a total stranger recently.

I was traveling from Australia to New Delhi with my two little boys with Malaysian Airlines. When I reached home in New Delhi, after a tiring journey, I realized that the gold necklace that I had during the flight was missing and I had no idea where and when I missed it. I had switched flights in Kuala Lumpur and did spend some time at Kuala Lumpur International Airport too.

The necklace was expensive (around Rs 4 Lakh) and moreover, it had great emotional value for me as it was a wedding gift from my husband. I was into tears and hopeless to get it back but still took a chance and called the airlines’ local office. They transferred my call to their lost-and-found cell and after a brief questionnaire about my flight details the lady confirmed that one of airlines staff had found a necklace on the seat I was traveling. My joy knew no bounds. I felt like giving this girl a warm hug.

As I reached the airport next morning, I met this humble and honest gentleman whose name is Saurav. I got my necklace back and thanked him. I asked him if I could pay him a small amount of money to which he said that gratitude is enough. Wow! I am sure this incident will keep me inspired for a long long time.”
