My Story: He Gave Me A Reply That I Will Never Forget In My Life

“When I decided that I would live in Korea on a shoestring budget it was because I wanted to meet different people and wanted to know them better.

On the very first evening, when I was looking for a place for dinner, actually small place, rather than a costly restaurant. After roaming around the Namdaemun market, I read a hand-written board . “Halal chicken Kebab with Paratha”. I was like, “Finally!” and I reached that stall.

The stall operator who was from Pakistan asked me if I was from Pakistan, I told him that “Nahi, Hindustan se”.
He promptly replied “Kya farq padta hai, sab to ek hi hai humlog, bas kuch saalo se khud ko alag maante hai “.

He also served me an additional glass of Banana Milkshake and didn’t charged me anything for that.

He serves at least 40-50 people daily from the subcontinent with the same love and care as one would serve his own family. While I see people hating each other just for the co-incidence that they were happen to be born in one or other part of the globe, I think of this man and it gives me hope that still everything isn’t over.”
