Anvi Deepak Hinge, born in 2017 and hailing from Maharashtra, showcased remarkable poise and strategic brilliance throughout the championship. She won two gold medals in the team classical and team rapid events, along with four silver medals spanning individual classical, rapid, and blitz categories, as well as team blitz.

“Anvi’s calm and calculated approach to the game, especially at such a young age, is truly inspiring. Her success is a reflection of her dedication and the support system around her,” said a senior official from the All India Chess Federation.

Upon her return, Anvi was warmly welcomed by her family, school, and local community, with celebrations highlighting her achievements and the pride she has brought to the nation.

A Journey of Passion, Perseverance, and Support

Anvi’s journey into the world of chess began when she was just four years old, encouraged by her parents who recognised her keen interest in the game. Under the expert guidance of FIDE Instructor Pratik Mulay, she has honed her skills through rigorous practice sessions, strategic game analyses, and participation in numerous national and international tournaments.

Prior to this championship, Anvi had already made a mark by finishing as the 2nd runner-up in the Under-7 Girls category at the 12th National School Chess Championship in 2024. Her current FIDE ratings—1474 in standard, 1620 in rapid, and 1531 in blitz—reflect her versatility and growing mastery of the sport.

Beyond the medals, Anvi’s story is one of passion, resilience, and the importance of a nurturing environment that fosters young talent.
