Background and Admission Process Overview

The Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission process is conducted annually by the Directorate of Technical Education to facilitate admissions into diploma courses in engineering, technology, and applied sciences offered by a variety of institutes across the state.

The process begins with online registration and application submission, followed by the publication of a provisional merit list, a correction window for candidates to rectify any errors, and finally, the release of the final merit list. This year, the provisional merit list was published on July 2, allowing candidates to raise objections or request corrections before the final list was declared on July 7.

The DTE has progressively introduced digital initiatives to streamline the admission process, enhance transparency, and reduce delays. Candidates are reminded that failure to comply with deadlines or submission of incorrect information may result in disqualification from the admission process.
