Now, you will have to shell out more to buy a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder. From November, both subsidised and a non-subsidised cylinder is going to cost more – the rate of the non-subsidised cylinder has been increased by Rs 60 and subsidised by Rs 2.94. This is the sixth hike since June 2018.

Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest fuel retailer, said the rise in prices is “due to change in international price and foreign exchange fluctuations”, adding that the rise in prices of the subsidised cylinder is due to the impact of GST
