The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has given a ticket to Chaudhary Tayyab Hussain from Hathin, a man suspected of raping two minors, to contest the Haryana Assembly Elections, on October 21.
Hussain Accused Of Rape
The BSP leader was booked by the police in connection with rape and abduction of a minor Muslim girl in Palwal area, Haryana in 2016.
In an audiotape which was submitted to the sessions court during the rape case proceedings, it was reported that Hussain, while speaking to a friend, discussed his sexual encounter with another minor Dalit girl. The victim is suspected to have later committed suicide.
Hussain, reportedly, also passed derogatory remarks against the Dalit girl. He is claimed to have said that “he did not have intercourse with her because of her caste”, but had developed close relations with her.
Though the Dalit girl’s case was not registered by the police since the family did not file a complaint, Hussain was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for the alleged rape and assault of the Muslim girl in 2016.
Protecting the BSP candidate, the state party unit president Prakash Bharti said that the matter was investigated by a Special Investigation Team and Hussain got a “clean chit” from the high court.
The tapes and evidence in the 2016 rape cases have surfaced again, when the BSP gave a ticket to the controversial leader to contest the Haryana Assembly Elections, due on October 21, from Hathin constituency.
“The matter was investigated by an SIT. Tayyab Hussain has received a clean chit from the high court. The recording has also been investigated by the SIT. We have a copy of the court order, which will be filed along with the nomination papers,” BSP Haryana president Prakash Bharti told The Lallantop.
Bharti, however, did not share a copy of the court order with the publication.
