Not much time had passed after the unfortunate incident of a young veterinarian doctor’s charred body was found, another such body was found in the same locality in Hyderabad on Friday night.

The body was found around 1.5 kilometers away from the area where the previous incident took place. The body was recovered by the Cyberabad Police in the Siddalagutta Temple Road which falls under their jurisdiction, The Quint reported. The body has been sent in for an autopsy.

“The body was found in an open area on the outskirts of Shamshabad. It is being moved to a government hospital for an autopsy, a case has been registered,” Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar told Zee News.

In the case of the 26-year veterinarian doctor, four truck drivers and a cleaner were arrested by the police for gang-rape in the Shamshabad area. The accused then took her to Shadnagar area where they burnt her body and left it there.

The incident has sparked outrage across the country, raising questions on women’s’ safety.

Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali courted controversy for his statement saying that the victim could be saved if she had dialled 100.

“Unfortunate that despite being educated, she had called her sister and not ‘100’. Had she called ‘100’, she could have been saved,” he remarked.
