Soon after the news of the encounter of four accused in Hyderabad vet’s rape and murder case broke in the early morning of December 6, locals gathered in large numbers at the encounter site. The locals hailed the killing and showered flower petals on police present at the site.

Several people stood above the underpass cheered the cops for ‘bringing justice’ to the 26-year-old vet who was gang-raped, smothered and later burnt by the four accused.
In several videos, the locals can be seen chanting slogans like – ‘Hyderabad Police Zindabad’ and ‘Jai Police’.

People also raised a few cops on their shoulders and lauded them for their action.

A local bus filled with girls passing through the site cheered in joy and thanked the police.

How Encounter Unfolded?
The Cyberabad Police on November 6 announced that all four accused in the Telangana veterinarian’s gang rape and murder case were killed in an encounter at 3:30 am.
According to the police, all the four accused were shot dead on National Highway (NH-44) near Hyderabad – the same highway where the charred body of the vet was found.
The officials said that the culprits were taken to the crime scene for recreation of the incident when they tried to escape. According to the police, one of the four accused gestured to the other three to flee after attacking the cops, after which cops had to open fire, The Indian Express reported.
The four were later taken to the hospital where they were declared dead. According to the report, Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar said, “Will the police just watch if the accused attack them?”
The police also said that the accused were taken at night for recreating the incident to avoid any public confrontation.
The four accused were– Mohammed (26), Jollu Shiva (20), Jollu Naveen (20) and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu (20). They were arrested on November 29 for the alleged rape and murder of the Hyderabad vet and later burning her body.
