In a horrific incident, the father of a Class 10 girl in Madhya Pradesh committed suicide after his daughter accused her teacher of molesting her.

The deceased, Rajesh Kurmi, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from an electric pole in a field in Pipariya Pachar area of Sagar district.

In the suicide note recovered by police, Rajesh Kurmi stated that he was upset because the students and teachers of his daughter’s school supported Dilip Jain, who was accused of molestation. He also accused the principal of the school and other staff members of compelling him to withdraw the molestation case filed against Jain.

“He has committed suicide by hanging himself on an electric pole. We will investigate the matter from every angle. We will also verify the suicide note and take action accordingly,” Kamlesh Kalchuri, in-charge Gathkota police station, reported ANI.

Deeply saddened by Kurmi’s death, his family and relatives blocked traffic movement on the road with the deceased’s body and demanded stern action against the accused and justice for their daughter.

“We want justice. They did wrong with our daughter. They have killed our brother. We want justice,” said one of the relatives.
