A reckless drunk cab driver climbed the footpath in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout on Sunday afternoon, ploughing several pedestrians. The whole incident was captured on a CCTV camera and the video has gone viral on social media.

At 3 pm on August 18, people were standing outside a tea stall when a speeding car hit the two-wheelers parked alongside footpath and climbed over people, injuring eight.

Due to the two-wheelers parked at the front of the footpath, the car slowed down a bit, reducing the impact of the collision.

According to The Times of India report, the police arrived at the spot 40 minutes after the incident took place. The inebriated driver was arrested. The injured have been identified as Gaurav (19), Shankar (22), Mayura (22), Gunapal (36) and Aniketh (19). Three of them are outpatients and two others were admitted to a private hospital.
