A woman who was bleeding profusely after her husband had stabbed her with a sickle was rushed to Victoria Hospital in Bangalore by a Good Samaritan, Kavita K.
Kavita , 31-year-old, a member if Janaagraha who works as an Area Suraksha Mitra with the Madiwala police station gave a helping hand.
After Kavita settled herself in a BMTC bus, she saw a woman sitting in front of her seat bleeding from the neck. On being asked the victim said she was hit by her husband with a sickle.
While conversing Kavita realised that the victim was slowly losing conscious. She looked around for help but found none. On reaching the hospital she took the victim with her and intimated the police. They recorded the statement of the victim.
The victim is identified as Pramila Pasha, who happens to be a resident of South Bangalore. Kavita called her younger brother Eshwar.
Eshwar later shifted Pramila to a private hospital promising to take care of her. He said they are daily wage workers from Kota in Andhra Pradesh . He even added that Pramila married a man of her choice, Pasha who is not interested in her. Pramila is a mother of two girls.
Kalasipalyam police thanked Kavita for the commendable work she has done. This help had helped the police in getting the man, Pasha arrested. At first Pramila was apprehensive but later filed a complaint with Kavita’s help.
