Video: A New Low In Indian Media Debates, Representatives Slaps Each Other On Live Debate

Supported by

Discussion Turned Violent: A new low in Indian Media Debate was observed when the debate on IBN7 took a nasty turn when two of the guests ended up having a brawl. Religious leader Deepa Sharma slapped Swami Omji Maharaj of Hindu Mahasabha for passing a sexist and personal comment on her. Om ji Maharaj slapped her in the retaliation and it turned into a brawl.

We request to the media channels, please bring some sensibilities to debates and if possible also have people who talk sense and have some understanding that they are in front of thousands of viewers which includes kids also. If nothing, they should at least know how to behave in front of camera.

The media debate is watched by families and many watch it to listen to different opinions and gain something out of it. But going by the recent trends, today’s debates on media are no more discussion or conclusion oriented rather are meant to entertain viewers by ranting and name calling.
