Just In: Series Of Suicide Bombings In Jakarta, Updates So Far

Reportedly six explosions have rocked the Indonesian capital Jakarta. The explosions reportedly happened near Sarinah shopping mall on the busy Jalan Thamrin killing three people including a policeman.  Jalan Thamrin a central location in Jakarta which is frequented by many people owing to the presence of lot of offices, caffe’s and malls. A video of the blast has surfaced

 

According to ABC news anchor, gunmen are still inside the Sarinah Mall and there has been reports of series of gun fire in the area.

According to one witness, one explosion was outside the United Nations office and one at a Starbucks Coffee shop where security forces have entered to bring the situation back to normalcy.

Indonesia second tragedy within a decade:

This is the second blast which Indonesia is witnessing within a decade, the last time being in 2009,  the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia, were hit by separate bombings five minutes apart killing seven and injuring 50 people.
