‘Thousands of Suicide Bombers Ready’: Jaish Terrorist Masood Azhar’s Alleged Audio Clip Sparks Alarm

Audio linked to JeM chief and terrorist Masood Azhar has gone viral on social media, sparking outrage.

A new audio message allegedly from Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar surfaced on social media, claiming the outfit has “thousands” of suicide bombers prepared for immediate deployment.

This message follows the devastating “Operation Sindoor” conducted by Indian forces in May 2025, which decimated JeM’s Bahawalpur headquarters and killed several of Azhar’s close relatives.

While the recording has not been independently verified, it emerged alongside a video of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s deputy commander, Saifullah Kasuri, who claimed the Pakistan Army invited him to lead funeral prayers for its soldiers after the 2025 strikes.

Security analysts view these coordinated releases as a desperate attempt to restore morale within terror networks that were “torn to pieces” by recent Indian military actions.

The Legacy Of Operation Sindoor

The current tension is a direct fallout of Operation Sindoor, a high-precision military campaign launched by India on 7 May 2025. The operation was a response to a barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people.

During the pre-dawn strikes, India targeted nine major terror facilities across Pakistan and PoJK, including the Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur.

According to official reports and subsequent acknowledgments by JeM commanders, the strikes eliminated at least ten of Azhar’s relatives, including his sister, nephew, and senior aides. This marked the first time India struck deep into Pakistan’s Punjab province, fundamentally shifting the rules of engagement.

Psychological Warfare

The latest audio features a defiant Azhar claiming that the sheer number of his followers would “cause an uproar in the global media” if fully revealed. He asserts that his recruits are driven by an obsession with “martyrdom” and do not seek material rewards like visas or wealth.

However, security specialists describe this as a symbolic effort to project power from a leadership that has not been seen in public since a powerful blast hit Azhar’s hideout in 2019.

The timing of the clip, paired with Saifullah Kasuri’s video addressing school children, suggests a coordinated propaganda push by pro-ISI accounts to revitalise dormant sleeper cells following the military and economic isolation of Pakistan.

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

At The Logical Indian, we believe that while such threats must be monitored with absolute vigilance by our security forces, they are clearly designed to fracture our collective sense of safety. Our greatest strength against the rhetoric of violence is our commitment to peace, dialogue, and communal harmony.

It is disheartening to see extremist ideologies being preached even to children in schools, as seen in recent propaganda videos. We must trust in the professionalism of our armed forces while ensuring that we do not let psychological warfare succeed in creating fear or division in our society.
