A photo with the claim that Iraqi archaeologist Dr Abdallah and Iraqi poet Amal Aljabouri are crying in front of the British Museum as they saw Iraqi artefacts in a Museum, stolen by the British from Iraq in 2003 is going viral on social media and internet.

The Logical Indian reverse searched the image and found that the photo is actually of a common Iraqi man breaking into tears after Iraq’s National Museum in Baghdad re-opened the Assyrian Gallery to display the Nimrud antiquities.

According to Reuters, the photo was taken on 3rd July 2003 by Radu Sigheti during the brief reopening of Baghdad museum which displayed the ancient Nimrud treasures. The Nimrud treasures and artefacts date back to 900 BC and they consist of precious gold and valuable stones.
