Supported by

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the admit cards for the upcoming CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations scheduled to be conducted in September 2025.

This crucial document allows candidates entry into exam centres and contains vital details regarding the examination schedule, venues, and candidate identity. With the exams fast approaching, students registered for the September session can now download their admit cards from the official ICAI Self Service Portal.

Exam Dates and Structure

The September 2025 CA examination session is organised into three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams, each spread across different dates to accommodate thousands of aspirants. The CA Final exams are split into two groups; Group 1 is scheduled for September 3, 6, and 8, while Group 2 takes place on September 10, 12, and 14.

The Intermediate level exams also follow a two-group format, with Group 1 on September 4, 7, and 9 and Group 2 on September 11, 13, and 15. Foundation exams are slated to be held later in the month on September 16, 18, 20, and 22. It is important to note that no exams will be conducted on September 5, 2025, due to a public holiday.

Step-by-Step Guide to Download the Admit Card

To ease the process for candidates, ICAI has provided a straightforward online procedure for obtaining the admit card. Candidates are urged to follow these steps carefully:

  • Visit the official ICAI Self Service Portal at https://eservices.icai.org/.
  • Select the relevant link for the CA Foundation, Intermediate, or Final exam admit card.
  • Log in using your registration number and password, or date of birth in the YYYY-MM-DD format.
  • Verify all personal and exam details visible on the admit card.
  • Download the admit card and print multiple copies to carry to the examination centre.
  • If any errors or discrepancies are noticed, promptly contact ICAI for rectification.

Key Instructions for Candidates

The ICAI has emphasised that the admit card is mandatory for examination entry and must be physically carried in printed form; digital versions shown on mobile devices will not be accepted. Additionally, a valid government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, passport, or voter ID must be presented along with the admit card for identity verification. The option to change examination centres is not available once the admit card is issued, so candidates should carefully choose their location at the time of registration. Candidates should also bring blue or black ballpoint pens and a passport-size photograph as some exam papers require these items for completion.

Background and Importance

The CA examinations represent a vital milestone for aspiring accounting professionals in India, known for their rigorous syllabus and competitive nature. The institute’s biannual schedule and transparent processes aim to ensure that candidates have clarity and fairness in their examination journey. Achieving a passing score of at least 40% in individual papers and 50% overall has been the standard to qualify, reflecting the exam’s demanding nature. By releasing the admit cards on time and providing comprehensive guidance, ICAI supports candidates in planning their exam preparations effectively.

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

The responsible handling of admit card distribution by ICAI highlights the importance of administrative transparency in facilitating student success. Nonetheless, the exam stress faced by CA aspirants is significant, necessitating a supportive environment fostered by families, peers, and educational bodies alike.

The Logical Indian believes that kindness, empathy, and constructive encouragement are essential to nurturing not just academic success, but mental well-being.
