I Got Married At 20 And My Life Has Changed Since

Supported by

“I used to be tied down before marriage. I was never allowed to work or voice my opinion on anything because I was always considered inferior to my brothers. I got married at 20 and my life has changed since. My husband made me a partner in his work, he asked for my opinion from the smallest of matters to big family decisions. He encourages me to keep myself busy and makes me feel equal to him, because I too contribute to the family income. They got me married early to get rid of the burden, but didn’t realize that the burden actually lifted from me — I finally felt free.”
