I Am A Citizen Of Pakistan And I Know How It Feels

“I don’t get it. People are dying and we are too busy arguing about who is to blame and who not to blame. Does it really matter when people are losing their lives out there? I am a citizen of Pakistan so I know how it feels to see people of my own land lose their loved ones, live in fear and be terrorized.

I don’t wish that upon anybody. I pray for the people of Paris and I pray for all the others around the world who go through something similar because nobody deserves to have such terror inflicted upon them.

I pray for my own country, I pray for Japan, Beirut, Mexico, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and any other country that faces a life threatening problem. As for the blame, stop blaming it on religion or a creed. Blame it on the people who did it: they have no identity.

They are inhumane enough to carry out such actions and others should not be associated with them because of a generalization. I’m a Muslim and I know my religion, I know my morals and I know I’m not among those who inflicted that pain on the victims. If others believe otherwise, I can’t stop them unless they are willing to open their own minds to the possibility of it.

The least I can do is pray and remain true to what my religion has originally taught me: peace and humanity.”
