A Twitter video shared by Auraiya Police on February 8 shows a 98-year-old man, a resident of village Navi Mohan of Thana Sahayal, who traveled to Lahrapur Bank to collect his pension. Due to old age, he faced inconvenience in walking. Observing the situation, a police officer from Auraiya offered to drive the elderly man home in his official vehicle.

Chhattisgarh: Sponge Iron Industries Result To Be Major Source Of Air Pollution & Health Hazards

Sponge iron industries in India are located in clusters in the state of Chhattisgarh and utilize about one-third of the total coal consumed in central India, thus making it a significant source of air pollution in central India.

Sponge iron plants are ‘red category’ industries, which means they have very high pollution potential and can cause serious health hazards. The manufacturing process releases extreme heat and smoke containing oxides of sulphur and carbon, unburnt carbon particles, and silica.

ISRO Successfully Launches SSLV-D2 Rocket To Deploy 3 Satellites Into Orbit

SSLV-D2, the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) new rocket, successfully placed three satellites into the intended orbit shortly after its launch from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, this morning.

The rocket soared into the skies from the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre with three mini, micro, and nano satellites at 9:18 am and placed them into a 450 km circular orbit around the Earth during its 15-minute flight.

J&K: IAF Evacuates Pregnant Lady In Critical Condition From Isolated Nawapachi Area

Amidst heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army and Air Force on February 9 airlifted a pregnant woman in critical condition from a hamlet in the Kishtwar district of Jammu division.

Responding to a call, Army troops rushed to the village of Nawapachi and carried the woman on a stretcher through snowfields. The IAF flew a MI chopper to Nawapachi and airlifted the woman to the district hospital in Kishtwar for specialized treatment. The people of Nawapachi expressed gratitude towards the Army and the IAF, and some of them also raised slogans praising the two forces.
