Vamsi Krishna from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, reunited his househelp, Bhavani, with her long lost parents using Facebook. Bhavani, who is a teenager, parted from her parents and went missing from her hometown Cheepurupalli in Vijayanagaram district 12 years ago. Later she was adopted by a family in Vijayanagaram.

The reunion was possible only after Bhavani told him that she was an adopted child.

“I used to check the documents of people I hire. So, I asked the girl for documents to know her age. She told me that she does not have any document as she was adopted by a woman when she went missing. I asked her whether she wants to connect with her real parents. She said yes. Then I took details from her and started searching on Facebook,” he told ANI.

He first searched for people who matched with her details and sent messages to them. One person reverted to his message and then requested for a video call. After the video call, his parents confirmed that Bhavani belonged to their family.

Bhavani said that she was very happy to meet her parents after being reunited. Even though Bhavani’s stepmother was unhappy initially, she later welcomed her into the family.
