She scolds us and asks us to eat healthy, she scolds us to take our medicine on time. She smiles at us when we finish our soup and tells a funny joke when we are sad. She reads us stories when we can’t sleep, she opens the window when we need a new breath of life. She wakes up in the middle of the night to comfort us, she comes running to us when we need her at any time of the day. She does all this while being completely unrelated, all this while having no blood relations. It is only she who can give so much love and care without any praise in return because she is #SabKiSister

This Raksha Bandhan, the latest initiative by Max Bupa celebrates the contribution of those sisters who touch our lives in ways that we cannot repay. It is a tribute to those who take care of us in ways we cannot imagine, who brings joy to us like we are her own, who spends her days and nights to be with us. It is a tribute to those who quite literally nurses us back to life! It is a tribute to #SabKiSister. If you haven’t guessed it yet, watch this heartwarming film that has already mellowed many many hearts this Raksha Bandhan.

The bond between brothers and sisters cannot be confined in brackets. It’s limitless, it’s beyond! Moreover, it is above blood ties. Sometimes, at some odd crossroads, we meet people who become an inseparable part of our lives. These relations that are built purely upon love and care holds an invaluable essence to it. Some strangers are just family who we have not met yet. These people can never be traded for the world.

Every year, we celebrate Raksha Bandhan with great exuberance and why shouldn’t we? It’s a festival to celebrate the year-long trolling and teasing our siblings. Among all this fun and banter, we often forget those unsung heroes who do great deeds silently without having prominence in society.

The Logical Indian appreciates Max Bupa for shining light upon the selfless efforts of the ‘sisters’ who go beyond their call of duty to help us get back on our feet and get on with life. This Raksha Bandhan, we salute the efforts of #SabKiSister who in their diligence dedicates their life towards the well being of other people.
