As the well-known English proverb goes: ‘A friend in need, is a friend indeed.” Manjunath Ningappa Pujari is living example of that kind of friendship.
He drives an Ola auto every day between 6 pm to 9 am and offers free rides to those in emergency situations.
One can call him at the odd hours of the night, and he is always ready to help out. He even sends a part of his income to help the needy in shelter homes.
Speaking to The Logical Indian, Manjunath said, “This is something that I have been doing for a year ago, and it gives me immense pleasure to help those in need. All my life, I have wanted to do social service, and now I am doing this – I am really happy.”
People like Manjunatha are rare but exist and fill us with hope.
Today had a Ola auto ( Manjunath Ningappa Pujari ) ride and happened to meet this interesting person who works with the…
50-year-old Karimul Haque is the ‘Bike-Ambulance-Dada’ for the people of Dhalabari Village in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. The tea estate worker has become a ray of hope to the villagers. He ferries the weak and sick to the hospital on his bike.
The Logical Indian salutes the work that Manjunatha is carrying out. It is essential to have such amenities in a situation when innumerable people still die due to the unavailability of the ambulance. Apathy from the side of the administration is so ingrained in our systems that the deaths of innocents fail to sadden us.
In such a situation, the people like Manjunatha are rays of hope.
