First Time I Felt Like Someone Cared About My Life

“A few days ago, a passenger sat in my cab and started chatting with me. He asked me about my life, my family, my origins and my beliefs. While driving I told him I knew a shorter route and when I got him there faster than normal, he said to me while getting out of the cab- ‘You’re doing a great job – you know so many short cuts…thank you.’ For the first time I felt like someone cared about my life and I wasn’t just a driver…it felt so good to just hear the words, ‘Thank you.’”
