Fact Check
Official information related to discontinuation of notes should come from either from RBI officially or from the government of India. After searching we didn’t came across any such notifications from RBI regarding the same. The note ban or discontinuation of notes are completely different to the discontinuation of its printing Rs 2000 note, which still continues to be a legal tender.
The latest list of RBI’s notification can be easily found on the internet.
Demonetization in India was implemented on 8th November where the existing Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes were banned and new currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 were introduced.
