Murder Case Of "RSS Activist" And His Family Solved, Culprit Arrested; Know The Facts

Days after the gruesome killings of a man, his eight-month pregnant wife, and son in Murshidabad, West Bengal on October 8, the cops on October 15 arrested Utpal Behra, putting the speculation of the victim’s ties with RSS being the reason of death to rest.

Multiple social media users and media organisations alleged that Bandu Prakash Pal, his pregnant wife Beauty Pal, and son were murdered due to their political association with RSS. Several news portals carried the news, citing his connection to RSS as the main reason behind the triple murder. Many verified Twitter handles, including ministers of BJP party, posted the images of the gruesome murder claiming the same.

Sambit Patra, BJP spokesperson shared a video on Twitter from the crime scene and claimed that there was no outcry from the liberals over the triple murders because the victim was an RSS worker.

The Union Minister of Law and Justice, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology also wrote a tweet condemning the death of the family and called him an RSS worker.

Soon after these, a boatload of BJP members shared the news concluding that Pal was killed because he was an RSS activist.

What Is The Real Reason?

The Murshidabad’s superintendent of Police said that Behra confessed of killing the family after Pal refused to give him a receipt for the insurance premium that he had paid.

After the interrogation police got to know that Behra had bought an insurance policy from Prakash Pal. The insurance was for a period of 11 years, and Behra twice paid annual premiums of Rs 24,167. However, Behra only received the receipt for the first premium paid in 2018.

The official’s said that Behra went to Pal’s residence early in the morning of the day of the murder. As soon as Behra entered Pal’s residence, he stabbed Pal from behind. As Pal kept slumping on the ground, Behra went to the bedroom of his wife and killed her. Later, he murdered their six-year-old son. The murders were committed between 12:06 pm and 12:11 pm, informed the police.

The cops will now produce Behra before a district court seeking 14-day custody.

What is more surprising is the fact that the entire fuss of Pal’s association is a blatant lie according to his family members. A video of a family member of Pal on Twitter also went viral where the kin can be seen saying that Pal had no connection with any party and that they have approached the administration to get proper justice.
