Fact Check

After searching on youtube, we came across a clip of the disputed video which is somewhat longer than the one that went viral. The video was uploaded in 2015 by DailyStar. According to the video, the incident took place in Bangladesh and the shooter shot a deer in his own farmland.

The incident was reported by the famous Bangladeshi English daily on July 12, 2015, as per which the name of the man is Moin Uddin. He uploaded the video on 4th July. He was a resident of Bangladesh and owned a farm, where he reared deers among other animals.

After the Daily Star article criticizing Moin Uddin started making rounds on social media, the former issued a clarification on his Facebook page claiming that he had a licensed gun for shooting animals which he nurtured in his farm.
