Salman Taseer,a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party, assassinated in Islamabad by his own security guard Mumtaz Qadri, who disagreed with Taseer’s opposition to Pakistan’s blasphemy law.

Govind Pansare,an Indian Marxist leader, social reformer and activist of the Communist Party of India (CPI),5 bullets were shot at him.His recent views on Nathuram Godse and criticism of the the right-wing is being investigated for possible reason.

Avijit Roy, a popular American blogger and secular activist, spoke out against religious extremism and intolerance, was hacked to death with machetes by unidentified assailants in Dhaka.

Everyday people like Salman Taseer, Govind Pansare & Avijit Roy are getting killed for raising question on religion and society. Now, our question is “is evil winning over good?” If answer is slightly near to yes then good people need to raise their voice and condemn these incidents and say at one breath that any ideology which has violence as its basis can never be right and cannot be part of our culture.
