31 years back, on 3rd December, a tragedy took place. A night turned into a nightmare. A poisonous gas leaked from a Union carbide factory killed and maimed ten of thousands in their sleep.

Considered to be one of the world’s worst industrial disasters, but there is no justice. Even after 32 years of one of the world’s worst industrial disasters, justice has not been meted out. Those who survived, died waiting for compensation and those who are left now, are waiting for their death, not for compensation.

India charged Union Carbide for manslaughter, but it refused to appear for trial. In 2001, Union Carbide Corporation was bought by the US firm Dow Chemical. Even after sending four notices to Dow Chemical, they just ignored to explain UCC’s whereabouts.

The Bhopal court has asked Dow Chemical to appear in the court in June 13.

We insist that the US govt. meet its obligations under Treaty & international law by immediately serving notice upon Dow to attend court in Bhopal on June 13, 2016.

Let us sign this petition until we reach 1,00,000 signature in one month. We have to take up this challenge and make this happen because Bhopal demands justice and we demand justice.
