Elephants are known to be some of the most intelligent and social wild animals. Various videos on the internet prove the same.

In a recent video that has gone viral, netizens are in awe of an elephant’s intelligence as it smartly breaks an electric fence.

The video was shared on Twitter by one Dr. PM Dhakate with the caption, “Gajraj, The Elephant, is one of the most intelligent animals in the animal kingdom. An amazing video, showing how the elephant first checks for electricity flowing in the wires, breaks two barriers, keeping itself safe in the process and thereby dispersing in the forest!”

In the video, an elephant first touches the electric wires with its foot to ensure that it does not get an electric shock. It then pushes down the wooden pole. To break the barrier, it tries to throw a thick wood piece.

After it pulls down the pole, the elephant crosses the road to get to the other end. There too, it breaks the electric fencing to go inside the forest.

The Twitter video was viewed over 1.8k times and garnered over 237 likes. Some praised the animal for its intelligence, and some condemned human beings for encroaching their space.
