Mumbai Police arrested actor Nadeem Khan on Thursday, 22 January 2026, following a formal complaint by a 41-year-old domestic worker who accused him of repeated sexual assault over a decade.
The survivor alleged that Khan, recently seen as the cook ‘Ahlak’ in the blockbuster film Dhurandhar, lured her into a relationship in 2015 with a false promise of marriage.
According to the complaint, the exploitation continued for ten years at both the survivor’s residence in Malvani and the actor’s home in Versova.
The case was initially registered as a Zero FIR at Versova Police Station before being transferred to Malvani Police, as the first alleged incident occurred in their jurisdiction; Khan remains in police custody as of Monday.

Nadeem Khan is a familiar face in the Hindi film industry, often portraying supporting characters in high-profile projects. He gained significant attention for his role in the recent Rs 1300 crore hit Dhurandhar, where he played the informant cook to Akshaye Khanna’s character.
Beyond his latest success, Khan has built a varied portfolio spanning television and OTT platforms, having shared screen space with veterans such as Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Mishra in films like Mimi, Vadh, and Dhadak.
This arrest comes at a critical juncture in his career, as he was scheduled to appear in the upcoming sequel Vadh 2, set for release on 6 February 2026.
The survivor, who has worked for several notable actors, reportedly maintained the relationship for years out of emotional trust, only seeking legal recourse when Khan allegedly refused to fulfil his commitment to marry her.
Investigation On
The legal proceedings began when the 41-year-old woman approached the Versova police earlier this month. Given that the first alleged instance of assault took place at her residence in Malad, within the jurisdiction of Malvani, officials filed a Zero FIR to ensure immediate action before transferring the case.
“We have arrested the actor based on the woman’s statement and are currently verifying the allegations through a detailed probe,” an official from the Malvani police station told the media.
Investigators are now scrutinising the timeline of the decade-long relationship and checking for any prior complaints or similar patterns of behaviour. While the investigation continues, the actor’s legal team has yet to issue an official public statement regarding the charges.
